About Ling Zhi
Ling Zhi (Reishi) mushrooms have gained a reputation as the ultimate herbal medicine and has been used in China as traditional medicine for more than 4 000 years, making it one of the oldest mushrooms known to have been used in medicine. It has been regarded as a magical treasure that nourishes and strengthens the body’ Zheng Qi and fights against pathogenic factors. It can be used as the supplement treatment of many diseases such as neurasthenia, hyperlipidaemia, altitude sickness, hepatitis, tracheitis, and mostly by supporting cancer treatment by boosting the immune system.
Ling Zhi (Reishi) is the name of the mushroom Ganoderma Lucidum, which grows in the Northern Eastern Hemlock forests and enjoys special veneration in Asia and due to its health benefits and apparent absence of side-effects, the ancient Chinese doctors regarded it as the “Long-Life Herb”.
The word Ling Zhi, in Chinese, means “herb of spiritual potency” and it has also been described as “mushroom of immortality”.
Spore powder of Ling Zhi (Reishi)
The most precious part of the Ganoderma Lucidum is the spore powder. This spore powder refers to the seeds of the plant that are released by the fruit body when it ripens during summer and autumn. It contains all the essence medicinal and biological properties and is found to have 75 times greater efficacy that that of the Ganoderma body. It is proved by scientific research that 1000 kg of Ganoderma can only extract 1 kg spore powder. Therefore Ganoderma spore is very rare and valuable and is a powerful supplement in disease prevention and treatment.
Why Spore Powder must be cracked?
Recent studies have shown that the essence within the spores cannot be released and ingested by the body system. Advanced technology is used to break open the spores and the facilitate the release of the essence for better absorption by the body system. Lingzhi (Reishi) Mushroom is a Ganoderma spore after breaking the wall, which is more suitable for direct absorption by the human stomach. Ganoderma lucidum is the fruiting body of the fungus Ganoderma lucidum growing in the mountain forests of China. Ganoderma spores are the seeds of Ganoderma lucidum, the very tiny egg-shaped reproductive cells ejected from Ganoderma lucidum folds during growth and maturity of Ganoderma lucidum.
Ingredients of Ling Zhi Cracked Spores Capsule:
Ling Zhi (Reishi) contains rich polysaccharide, triterpenoids, nucleoside, organic alkali, furan, multiple enzymes, amino acid, several micronutrients, organic germanium, fatty acids and niacin. The two major active ingredients are considered “triterpenoid and polysaccharide”,
The research report of its main components shows:
Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharides–can enhance immune function; reduce blood pressure, accelerate blood microcirculation, improve blood oxygen supply capacity, reduce the body’s ineffective oxygen consumption at rest.
Ganoderma triterpenes can inhibit tumour cells and resist hypoxia.
It improves microcirculation, lowers cholesterol, avoids vascular sclerosis; strengthen lung, kidney, liver, spleen and gastrointestinal function, and improve the function of digestive organs.
Natural organic germanium can enhance human blood supply, promote blood metabolism, eliminate free radicals in the body, prevent cell ageing. Adenine nucleoside inhibits platelet aggregation and prevents thrombosis. Trace element selenium prevents cancer, reduce pain, prevent prostate disease.
Dominant benefits of Ling Zhi (Reishi)
Cancer
Cancer research in Japan have found active anti-cancer constituents in Ling Zhi (Reishi) called Beta-D-glucan which are scientifically proven to have an anti-tumor effect. Beta-D-glucan is a polysaccharide with little sugar molecules chained together and bound to amino acids which makes up a bigger sugar molecule. These sugars stimulate the immune system by activating immune cells and increase immunoglobulin (antibodies) levels to increase the response to foreign cells like bactera, virus or tumor cells.
Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy
Ling Zhi (Reishi) helps to reduce side effects during chemotherapy and radiotherapy such as loss of appetite, fatigue, bone marrow suppression, hair loss and risk of infection. It can help reduce toxic side effects and mitigate the pain. It can also help cancer patients at terminal stages prolong their life and improve living quality.
Immune System and HIV
Ling Zhi (Reishi) contains high concentrations of Organic Germanium, Polysaccharides and Triterpenes. These active components are proven to strengthen the immunity cells and improve our immune system. A new highly oxygenated triterpene named ganoderic acid alpha has been isolated from the fruiting bodies of Ling Zhi. The structures of the isolated compounds. Ganoderiol F and ganodermanontriol were found to be active as anti-HIV-1 agents.
Additional Benefits of Ling Zhi (Reishi)
Cardiotonic
In China, researches found that Ling Zhi (Reishi) improved the blood flow and lowers oxygen consumption in the heart muscle. They also found it contains ganoderic acids which lowers cholesterol, high blood pressure and inhibits platelet aggregation (the clumping of blood cells), which can lead to heart attacks and other circulation problems. For centuries, Ling Zhi (Reishi) has been a known cardiotonic herb in traditional Chinese medicine.
Healing the Liver
Ling Zhi (Reishi) is commonly prescribed in China for the treatment of hepatic disorder.
For the Nerves

It is also prescribed for various psychiatric and neurological afflictions, including diseases involving the muscles, anorexia, and debility from lengthy illnesses. Long-term use can lead to a slow wave sleep.
Anti-Allergic / Anti-Inflammatory Actions
University studies have shown that Ling Zhi (Reishi) extract significantly inhibits all four types of allergic reactions, including positive effects against asthma and contact dermatitis. Ling Zhi (Reishi) could be used to help bronchitis, rheumatism, and improving “competence” of the immune system without significant side effects.
Side Effects
It has been shown in a few studies that long term use of Ling Zhi (Reishi) (usually 4 months or so) can lead to some mild side effects, including dryness of the nasal passages, mouth and throat, and an upset stomach and nose bleed. However, these effects were avoided by discontinuing use of the mushroom for 1 month after taking it for 4 months, and taking it again for 4 months, and so on.
