CF26 - Exterior Damp Enteritis

Original Name: Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Shui / 霍香正气水

Action:
Expels external wind cold, removes damp, harmonizes stomach and intestine

Indication:
Acute attack of external wind cold and damp with vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain

Key Symptoms and Signs for Use:
Acute attack of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
Abdominal pain
Bowel sound (excessive); borborygmi
Headache
White greasy tongue coating
Pulse: wiry

Clinical Application for Reference:
Acute gastro-enteritis
Cold or flu with digestive symptoms
Food poisoning
Traveller’s diarrhoea
Sunstroke

Dosage Form:
Tincture
Dosage and Administration:
Taken orally, 10 ml, three to four times a day.
In severe cases, the dose may be doubled
and taken every hour or two.
