CF02 - Arouse Centre Qi

Original Name: Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang / 补中益气汤

Action:
Tonifies Qi, strengthens spleen, lifts up and tones prolapse of Qi and organs.

Indication:
Spleen and Qi deficiency, Qi sinking.

Key Symptoms and Signs for Use:
Fatigue, weakness, pale complexion
Poor appetite, loose stool
Organ prolapse, chronic diarrhea
Tongue: Pale, white thin coating
Pulse: Deficiency

Clinical Application for Reference:
Chronic fatigue and general debility
Hypotension
Anemia due to hemorrhagic disease
Prolapse of uterus or rectum
Chronic diarrhea
Muscular atrophy

Cautions and contra-indications:
Contra-indicated in fire due to Yin deficiency.
The formula has a Qi ascending and toning up effect so it is not suitable in Yang hyperactivity syndrome.
